WESTMONT — Building on her support for the bipartisan Rebuild Illinois program, State Senator Suzy Glowiak Hilton announced two resurfacing projects coming to DuPage County, totaling nearly $2.7 million in funding to upgrade roads, improving safety for residents.

“We continue to see the much-needed improvements the historic Rebuild Illinois program delivers, promoting economic development and creating jobs right here in our community,” said Glowiak Hilton (D-Western Springs). “By improving the safety and mobility of our roads, we are investing in the future of our communities, ensuring everyone is able to get where they need to go in a safe, reliable and accessible way.”

Passed in 2019, Rebuild Illinois is investing a total of $33.2 billion over six years into the state’s aging transportation system, creating jobs and promoting economic growth. Rebuild Illinois touches all modes of transportation: roads and bridges, transit, waterways, freight and passenger rail, aviation, and bicycle and pedestrian accommodations.

Two projects in DuPage County are coming soon:

  • North Grace Street from IL 64 (North Avenue) to East St. Charles Road in the Village of Lombard
  • Mill Pond Drive from Schmale Road to Exchange Boulevard/President Street in the Village of Glendale Heights
